In this article, I will be providing you a recipe for making a natural disinfecting and deodorizing room spray with essential oils as the active ingredients.
A disinfecting room spray is a very handy tool to have around the house. We can use it to disinfect an area and clean up our air for general cleaning purposes, or especially when someone in the family has fallen sick. By having cleaner air in our surroundings, we minimize our chances of catching a contagious bug.
Store-bought commercial disinfecting room sprays tend to have chemicals that are very harsh, and not many people would like such chemicals in the air around their home, especially families with young kids and elderly living together.

Facts vs Myths
Carrier oils are oils that are applied on the skin, which assist to carry the essential oil to larger areas of the body, while at the same time helping to dilute the essential oils prior to application. Essential oils can be very dangerous when applied to the skin undiluted, causing skin irritation, sensitisation and adverse reactions. Carrier oils are less”sensitive” as compared to essential oils in the sense that they are not volatile, and do not oxidize like how essential oils do. They are much less powerful than essential oils in general, and therefore are fine and meant to be applied directly onto the skin.
The seeds are brown in color, and are contained in green pods which are the fruits of the plant.
All essential oils have a shelf life to them, even 100% pure essential oils.
